Crown Cement, GPH Ispat sign MoUs with

Dhaka, Monday, May 08, 2017: M. I. Cement Factory Ltd (Crown Cement) and GPH Ispat Ltd yesterday (Sunday) sign two separate memorandum of understandings (MoUs) with Housing and Building Research Institute for development and innovation of environmentally friendly building materials in the construction industry.

Honorable Minister for the Ministry of Housing and Public Works Engineer Mosharraf Hossain, MP graced the occasion as chief guest at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka.

Md Habibur Rahman Mollah, FCA, executive director of Crown Cement, Md Ashrafuzzaman, director of GPH Ispat Ltd, and Engineer Mohammad Abu Sadeque, director of Housing and Building Research Institute, sign the MoUs on behalf of their respective organizations in presence of the housing and public works minister.

Under the deals, Housing and Building Research Institute will provide technical and research related supports to Crown Cement and GPH Ispat Ltd for development and innovation of environmentally friendly building materials such as cement, steel and concrete.

Addressing the function as chief guest, Housing and Public Works Minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain, MP emphasized on using alternative building materials that are eco-friendly in the construction industry of the country.

He said these agreements will play a big role on the development of environmentally friendly building materials.

Mohammed Alamgir Kabir, additional managing director of Crown Cement, and Md Ashrafuzzaman, director of GPH Ispat, also spoke at the function.

Among others, Crown Cement’s Advisor Engineer Major General (rtd) Hameed Al Hasan, Consultant Engineer A Majid Chowdhury, Technical Advisor Md Shah Alam, Senior General Manager Engineer Md Sahidur Rahman, GPH Ispat’s Director Md Abdur Rouf and Head of Marketing and Sales Galib Mohammed were also present at the signing ceremony.
