Crown Cement honors two freedom fighters

On occasion of Victory Day, M. I. Cement Factory Ltd. (Crown Cement) honors two freedom
fighters for their outstanding contribution during the liberation war of Bangladesh in 1971.
The freedom fighters, who were honored as part of Crown Cement’s “Honoring Our Hero”, are
Nurul Islam Khan, Bir Protik of Kishoreganj and Md. Anwar Hossain of Mymensingh.
Md. Alamgir Kabir, Additional Managing Director of Crown Cement, handed over crests, financial
assistance and gift vouchers to the freedom fighters at a program in Dhaka on December 18,
2018 (Tuesday).
Nurul Islam Khan, Bir Protik, who fought under Sector 3, and Md. Anwar Hossain, who fought
under Sector 11, shared their experiences of liberation war of Bangladesh in 1971.
Md. Alamgir Kabir said: “The freedom fighters’ contribution was the most to get an independent
and sovereign Bangladesh. They were the real hero who fought selflessly for an independent
country. We are proud to honoring these freedom fighters, and we will continue honoring them.”
Masud Khan, FCA, FCMA, Chief Executive Officer of Crown Cement Group, also spoke at the
function.
